Gi BJJ involves training with a uniform (Gi), while No-Gi BJJ doesn't. Gi training focuses more on grips and throws, while No-Gi emphasizes body positioning and submissions. At our martial arts school we focus on training with the Gi but we also do No-Gi classes periodically.
For Gi classes, you'll need a BJJ Gi. For No-Gi classes, wear comfortable athletic clothing like shorts, rash guard, and spats.
